Introduction to System Audio (SA)

It was the year 1984. At that time loudspeakers had to be gigantic and technically complicated. This was when SA introduced its first loudspeaker, and the press was amazed and wrote: "This loudspeaker sets new standards". But this loudspeaker was not like all the others, because it was a compact speaker with big sound. A loudspeaker that was created in fascination of excellent sound - and not just technology. A loudspeaker that showed a new way we listen to music.
In a world where technologies and the truth come and go like mayflies, the System Audio loudspeakers are based on a number of long-life ideas that last longer than the conventional technological fashion that will be forgotten tomorrow.

Design Philosophy

A meaningful product consists of meaningful ideas that work in the real world. SA loudspeakers are based on a number of ideas that are as simple as they are long-life. We call it system design. The alphabet is the first system design that was invented. The system consists of letters that can be combined into words and sentences. The sentences become stories that connect people and make sense. SA has, with respect, borrowed the idea from the alphabet to create loudspeakers where the same ideas are part of all products, but in different designs.

Unlike Any Other - With 7 Year Warranty

SA Saxo 70 is built according to a principle that is unique to System Audio. In our large speakers we don't use large speaker units. We prefer to use a number of small ones.
We do this in order to:
Control the sound dispersion. The controlled sound dispersion makes for better sound quality, regardless of the room's decor and acoustics
Provide a musical sound experience. Our small speaker units are faster and easier to move. It makes the sound more precise
An added advantage of using 4 woofers in each speaker is that it can play incredibly loud without difficulty.
Simply combine SA Saxo 70 with a good quality amplifier and a power output of 120 Watt or more and you have a music system that is always ready to play at parties, and does so with overwhelming musical energy.

DTX - acoustic lens covers the room with sound

The special design around the tweeter is a patented acoustic lens (DTX).
It ensures that the sound is distributed around the room in a way that is not possible for ordinary tweeters.
The advantage of the better sound distribution is that you experience the music clearly even when moving around the room.
You don't have to sit in a carefully chosen place in order to enjoy the musical nuances, as the acoustic lens helps to cover the room with sound.
Incidentally, the tweeter in SA Saxo 70 is a new version of our Saxo tweeter.
The new version has a larger magnet and uses titanium in the motor system. Both play an important role in ensuring a clear and enjoyable audio experience.

Designed to be positioned close to a wall

The woofers are specially designed for System Audio and are only to be found in our speakers.
Their robustness and reliability set them apart. Their light membranes react very quickly to the music signal and help to create the lifelike sound you are familiar with from System Audio.
SA Saxo 70 sounds just right when positioned relatively close to a wall.
Neither does the technology in many speakers take into account the effect that the wall behind the speaker has on the sound, but SA Saxo 70 is intended for only one position, 5-20 cm from the wall.
Positioning close to a wall causes many floor-standing speakers to sound dark and mumbling, but this is where SA Saxo 70 blossoms, because the speaker's acoustics have taken into account the effect of the wall on the sound.
