Tasting Notes

2x Viking Grand Barossa Valley Chardonnay 2022 (7.70 standard drinks / 13% alcohol content)

Vibrant green with a pale straw hue. Fantastic depth to its varietal expression yet still quite focused with white peach, nectarine and melon with an ever so gently touch of toasty oak. Fresh and zesty in its youth with assorted citrus notes, this is in a word an “elegant” Chardonnay. The time on lees shows up with the wonderful depth of flavour whilst the natural fruit acidity shows through on the finish whilst remaining restrained by the slightest touch of French oak to add another layer of complexity.

2x Clare Hills Clare Valley Riesling 2022 By Pikes (7.10 standard drinks / 12% alcohol content)

Pale green/straw in appearance with typical Clare Valley Riesling characters on show, including citrus, talc and gentle floral notes. The palate is fresh, dry and mouth filling - the well balanced acidity ensuring a crisp, dry finish.

2x Bare Necessities Semillon Sauvignon Blanc 2023 (6.50 standard drinks / 11.5% alcohol content)

Golden straw with green hints. Lifted floral aromas over a bed of citrus and tropical fruits. Rich, juicy and flavoursome with loads of citrus, tropical and melon depth, almost buttery texture and soft acidity.

2x Amakira The Inspiration Chardonnay 2022 (7.70 standard drinks / 13% alcohol content)

This Chardonnay was meticulously crafted from premium South Australian vineyards. It displays aromas of peach, pear and citrus fruits. The palate is smooth and creamy with fleshy fruit characters. This wine has a lovely complexity that finishes with zesty acid and a smooth velvety mouthfeel.

2x Niche Sauvignon Blanc 2023 (7.40 standard drinks / 12.5% alcohol content)

Medium Straw with a wonderful green apple hue. Sauvignon Blanc characteristics dominate with tropical fruits of pineapple, peach and passionfruit combining with hints of guava and freshly cut grass. Tropical fruits of pineapple, mango and peach fill out the luscious and juicy mid palate, light herbaceous characters add another level of complexity and the wine finishes crisp with a kick of acidity.

2x Normans Old Vine Barossa Valley Semillon 2022 (7.10 standard drinks / 12% alcohol content)

Florals and lemon grass along with citrus and lime perfumes. The palate is complex with almond and honeysuckle notes as well as buttery textures whilst it provides a tangy long line of acidity and cleansing finish.
