Château Malmaison, located in the Moulis-en-Médoc appellation, is one of the oldest estates in the Médoc, with the presence of vines attested in the Middle Ages. The property adjoining Château Clarke was acquired in 1973 by Baron Edmond de Rothschild.

Under his leadership, the vineyard was restructured and the buildings completely renovated. He then christened this wine in honour of his wife, Baroness Nadine de Rothschild. Passionate about the art of gardens, she created a fairy garden where rose and jacaranda play the leading roles.
