The stainless steel filter disks allow the coffee's natural oils, as well fine micro-grounds, to enter your final mug. These add depth to the flavor, encourage a fuller and creamier body, and give your mug a little more sensory umph.
The Standard Disk allows a noticeable amount of fines through to your mug, encouraging a rich, full mouthfeel. It is constructed with a thick slice of stainless steel and will last many years.
The Fine Disk features holes that allow the coffee's natural oils through, but little to no micro-grounds. This creates a cleaner, creamier mouthfeel. The disk is the thickness of the Standard Disk.

Two available options, which one should I get:
STANDARD: Fuller body cup of coffee with a bit more fines. Thicker and should last many years of heavy use and is very hard to bend/damage.
FINE: Very sweet clean cup of coffee with very little fines to none at all. It is thinner (1/3 of the Standard) and should be handled with care as bending/damage is more likely.
