One of a pair of Auchentoshans' Global Travel Retail Exclusives range, Springwood takes its name from the new wood growth that is laid down in the height of the season. Fittingly, Auchentoshan choose only the finest North American oak hogshead and barrels - casks which once held American bourbon - so as the liquid ages through the years, spirit and wood work together to build the Springwood s character. Triple distilled, non-chill filtered. Perfect to savour as a standalone dram or in your favourite whisky cocktail.

Auchentoshan is the only Scottish single malt that is triple distilled.Distillation takes Distillers Beer from around 8% ABV (alcohol by volume) up to 81%. No other Scottish distillery insists on triple distilling every drop - double distillation usually reaches just 70% ABV. This trademark signature of the house is done on all Auchentoshan whiskies for the following reasons:

*To distil away all the impurities in the liquid, so strong notes of fruit and citrus come through.

*Makes the spirit more prone to the epic woodiness that comes from the casks in maturation.

*This makes Auchentoshan the smoothest, most delicate tasting single malt scotch whisky.

Tasting Note: Pale barley sugar appearance. Citrus and vanilla on the nose. Lively and warming, with a zesty twist of pink grapefruit. Crisp, clean and mouth-watering finish.
