Black Handle Tamper Flat 58mm Base

This Stainless Steel 58 mm Coffee Tamper is another sturdy tamper which allows the barista to compress the ground coffee evenly to increase the water resistance and achieve optimum extraction of the coffee. It features a solid stainless steel base and a black handle.

Being manufactured out of stainless steel, this enables the coffee barista to evenly compress the coffee meaning there is less chance of having ground coffee uncompacted resulting in coffee being ‘over-extracted’ and thus tasting very bitter.

An even distribution would minimise the chance of having part of the coffee packed too tightly resulting in coffee which would be ‘under-extracted’, or barely touched by the water.

• The Coffee Tamper is only suited to coffee filter baskets which are no smaller than 58 mm in diameter. Ideally this tamper needs to be the right size for your filter basket. If the tamper is too big, it won’t fit your filter basket; if it’s too small, it will only tamp some of the coffee and you’ll need to tamp several times.

Sirius Coffee recommends that you measure the diameter of your coffee filter basket to ensure that this is the correct size.
