Genuine British Aircrew socks made for use with an NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) suit. The term NBC has now been replaced with CBRN to include 'Radiological'. Officially labeled "Socks Aircrew NBC MK. 2". These thin cotton socks are designed to be worn underneath rubber NBC socks, inside boots. This is unissued stock, dated from the late 1980's. One for your British Army collection or perhaps the fallout shelter.
