Dacromet is a proprietary product consisting of dry chromium inorganic polymer which bonds metallic zinc flakes to the surface. Dacromet is applied via its proprietary dip-spin coating process (“Dacrotizing”) which deposits a 6 – 8µm thick film to the surface. According to many industry review sites, Dacromet offers greater corrosion resistance than zinc electroplating.
