A second series of Animated Batman figures, so soon after the first, attests to just how super-popular these versions of the Batman characters are. Fans loved the TV show 'Batman The Animated Series' which brought a new level of depth to 'kids' TV cartoons and some amazing design aesthetics from Bruce Timm (who reputedly drew on the influence of the Tim Burton movies and the Fleischer
Studios, Superman cartoons). In many ways these were like comics come to life with real plots and character development.
