Ear Measurement:

This kind of measurement requires an infrared thermometer. The sensor should be positioned in the ear channel: you will need to "stretch" the auricle.

Remember that otitis or ear wax can alter values. Use a probe cover when using this type of thermometer. Ear measurement reading are half a degree higher than axillary readings on average.
