Preparation and Application- Prior to application, prepare the surface to which the profile will be applied

  • This should be clean and dry and dust free
  • If the surface is powder coated or smooth in texture (painted), this will need to be scuffed to ensure maximum adhesion
  • Upon initial contact, this profile can be removed carefully and repositioned if required
  • The optimal curing time of the 3M tape to the applied surface is 7 days
  • This allows the properties of the adhesive tape to wet in to the surface and bind securely
