Pregnant mares should be wormed approximately two weeks prior to their expected foaling date and then both mare and foal should be started on a regular worming program once the foal is four weeks of age. Its important to ensure that the product you use on foals is completely safe. Equimax contains Abamectin contains Ivermectin, which are safe for horses of all ages including foals when used as directed.
