The hard chrome plating used on this barbell is even thicker and stronger than the already highly durable hard chrome we use on all of our barbells, and the shaft features a visibly clear and shiny finish, available in reflective chrome or black. The aesthetic is visually noticeable but most importantly makes the barbell extremely resistant to impact, rust and wear. Each barbell features 8 high-precision needle bearings manufactured with the utmost care to minimise friction and ensure the smoothest spin possible. This allows the sleeves to rotate effortlessly, reducing stress on your joints during Olympic lifts that require fast movement, and gives you maximum stability and control throughout the exercise. We use copper bushings in the sleeves to make them robust enough for the barbell to be dropped from overhead with bumper plates.
The specifications are Olympic standard, with a total weight of 15kg, grip diameter of 25mm and a total length of 2010mm. Weight plates of varying thicknesses will fit on the 50mm sleeves, allowing you to load up for heavy high-intensity sets, and we use a thin screw thread to provide extra friction, which helps to secure the plates more firmly. The 1.2mm diamond knurl is precision-cut to ensure the best grip without feeling sharp or uncomfortable.
