Your perfect match

To find your perfect match, hold colour sample to your natural hair and match to mid lengths and ends, not to the root. The extension colour should be indistinguishable from your natural hair.

If in doubt, always go slightly lighter than your natural hair for a slight balayage look, or so you are able to add a colouring toner.

For a foiled effect, choose 2 colours, one slightly lighter, the other slightly deeper (for example #24 and #60).

When applying, pair the two colours together, the one you want most prominent on the top, and the one you want less prominent on the underneath.

Application

STEP 1- Cleanse your hair with Jadore Clarifying Shampoo to remove all traces of dirt or oil that may cause slippage.

STEP 2 - Dry hair and straighten to ensure clean application and sectioning.

STEP 3 - Take a straight section 2-3 cm from the hairline at the nape of the neck. This will ensure there is enough hair to cover the extensions when hair is up.

STEP 4 - Following the application pattern set out in the images provided, take your first sliver of natural hair about 5mm thick and approximately the width of an extension and clip away.

STEP 5 - Take your first extension and peel off the paper backing.

STEP 6 - Align the first extension, adhesive facing upward with the underneath of the sliver of natural hair you have taken, allowing about 2mm from the scalp. Release the hair sliver you have clipped away, smoothing it down to attach to the adhesive of the extension.

STEP 7 - Remove backing from your second tape extension to be applied to the top of the extension pair. Without lifting the section of natural hair the bottom extension is attached to, match the top extension to the bottom extension, with the sticky side facing downward. This should secure the section of natural hair between a sandwich of two tape extensions.

STEP 8 - Press the two tapes together to secure the bond.

STEP 9 - Repeat process, following the pattern provided.

Removal

STEP 1 - Using sectioning clips, section your lowest row of extensions at the nape of the neck and clip the rest of your hair away.

STEP 2 - Liberally spray the top of the tape extensions, where they connect to your natural hair with Tape Removal Solution.

STEP 3 - Take the "tail" end of the tail comb provided and gently separate the two sides of your tape extensions, to free the section of hair sandwiched between. Use more Removal Solution if required. DO NOT PULL THE EXTENSION APART FORCEFULLY as this may result in damage to your hair or your extensions.

STEP 4 - Once separated from the natural hair, remove the old adhesive strip off the top tab of your Hair Extension and pair the two sides back together, sticky side facing inward. Set aside for cleaning and storage.

STEP 5 - Take a little Clarifying Shampoo and massage into the section of hair you have just removed the extension from. Comb through the entire section of hair starting from the ends and slowly working your way to the top, to loosen any natural shedding or residue that is left in the hair. Set off to one side and begin next extension.

STEP 6 - Once you have removed all of the extensions and distributed the Clarifying Shampoo throughout each section of natural hair, comb through to ensure no residue is present, jump in the shower or over the basin, add a little water and lather.

STEP 7- Cleanse your hair twice with the Clarifying Shampoo to remove all traces of residue and condition. Blow dry and style as desired.

Cleansing

Before storing your Extensions, you will need to wash and prepare them, to eliminate any transfer of residue and keep them pristine, ready for reapplication.

STEP 1 - Secure the extensions in their stack with a sectioning clip.

STEP 2 - Shampoo the extensions twice using the Jadore Volume Lift Shampoo, taking care to keep them stacked and all in the same direction. Avoid rubbing them together or scrubbing them too vigorously as this will cause them to tangle.

STEP 3 - Rinse Shampoo in warm (not hot) water.

STEP 4 - Apply the Intense Moisture Conditioner or Intense Hydrating Mask to mid lengths and ends, then comb through with a wide tooth comb.

STEP 5 - Rinse conditioner in warm water.

STEP 6 - Lay flat on a towel and wrap lengthways. Apply pressure to 'squeeze' water from extensions.

STEP 7 - Apply heat protectant or moisturising treatment to mid lengths and ends.

STEP 8 - Keeping the extensions stacked, blast dry the hair in a downward direction on a medium heat until the tape and the hair are 100% dry.

STEP 9 - Store for reapplication.

STEP 10 - If you are retaping, take your replacement tape pack and remove a sheet of retapes. The Jadore Replacement Tapes come with 120 tape tabs, retaping a full head three times.

Peel off one adhesive tab from the clear backing and place sticky side down to the top of the textured side of your extension. Ensure that you are lining up the curved edge of the extension tab top with the curved edge of the Replacement Tape. Repeat process until all of the extensions are retaped.
