Plugs into a 240V power point and will send to another room,upstairs etc.Both units need to be on the same channel and on the same mains phase to communicate. The intercom has abuilt-in monitor function so you can put one in a baby's room and listen from another location around the house. Additional units can be added to the system to provide a multi-point intercom system.
