GORE-TEX Upper Constructed using synthetic leather, the Merrell MOAB 2 offers a wider range of protection to help you gain the maximum from your footwear. The soft leather ensures long-lasting comfort yet provides ample protection from loose debris and rocks. The durable nature of the leather minimises the risks of wear and tear leaving you with a shoe you can truly rely on. A breathable mesh lining; the mesh allows air to fully permeate the upper providing a supply of cool, fresh air whilst simultaneously forcing out hot, muggy air that resides in the shoe during heavy exertion. To avoid damp feet, and therefore dampened spirits, a GORE-TEX membrane resides inside the shoe; supplying a combination of durable waterproofing and optimised breathability. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that distracting clammy feeling, but GORE-TEX keeps water on the outside while letting perspiration escape from the inside; keeping sweat to a minimum and you, cool and comfy. Towards the toes, there is a strong rubber cap, which protects the forefoot from any bumps or knocks whilst the padded tongue sits on the ankle comfortably, and also works to stop debris from entering and coming into contact with the foot. Completing the upper is a lacing system which locks down the midfoot to reduce in-shoe slippage so you can enjoy distraction-free strides.
