We use Smartphones nowadays for everything, so why not for managing your garage door or gate at ANY residence or business location? Now you can!

An average remote control for your gate or Garage Door cost $70-150 – With Omgate you will have 10 Remote controls for free (and yes you can add as many users as you like but the first 10 are free) to the same gate.

With a simple few clicks and an easy product installation, you will be able to do just that! You don't even need a professional to set this up for you. Simply follow the clear and easy instructions, and you'll be all set (see YouTube videos for more info on bottom!).

This is a small, universal device that connects with ease to any brand/make of an Electric Gate/Garage door/Entry door, which will add the capacity to wireless control such gate opening with a Smart Phone. Once installed, you would download a small App onto your phone (links for both iOS and Android below), which would allow you to control the gate opening function in two simple ways:

By simply pressing an electronic button displayed on the screen, which will automatically pop-up/appear on your Smart Phone screen once you get close to the gate.

The small application is loaded with extra operating and management features, such as: add or remove Managers/Users to administer and operate such gate at any given time from your own phone or from a web browser. In other words, if you have a guest staying at your home or coming to visit your business, simply invite them and Omgate will send a text with download instructions to the user, granting access! As soon as they leave and you want to remove their capabilities to control the Door or Gate, you may do so remotely.

This product can be easily added to a new home/business Garage Door installation, electronic gate installation. It will happily work in conjunction with an existing system or opener you may already have, or replace a key/keypad/card opener system already in place. It is a universal device, meaning it would work with any type of electric gateway!

OMGATE does NOT require connection to WiFi and the communication between the gate/door controller and the phone App is encrypted. This adds extra security while making it extremely easy for any user to install!

Smartphones must have Bluetooth Enabled. Must have both the app and the physical Omgate opener for functionality. WILL still work when on the phone or using GPS!

Here are some answers for frequently ask questions:

      1. How can I download the App?

The app is free and available for both iPhone and Android phones. Download links are found at the bottom of the OmGate homepage. Click the icon relevant for your phone

  1. I downloaded the app but I see no gates, what happened?

Each gate is managed by an Admin, so only users that received an invitation (via SMS with authorised link) are able to open the gate. Check who the gate Admin is and request user permissions for your phone. If you already have permissions and the gate doesn’t open, verify that your phone’s Bluetooth is enabled and you are within range of the gate

  1. How many gates can be managed by one phone?

The Omgate app can manage up to 20 different gates

  1. I have more than one gate in a single location, can the system support that?

The system fully supports gates that are located close to one other. You can give every gate a different name to help distinguish them. Consult the FAQ below to learn how

  1. How do I delete gate, or change its name?

Tap the Settings icon in the screen of the relevant gate. From there you can choose to either rename the gate or remove it from the app

  1. How do I change or add the gate Admin?

Only the Omgate installer or the main Admin defined during the initial installation are allowed to add authorised users for each gate. The Admin is also able to add additional managers to a gate

  1. How do I cancel alerts received when approaching gate?

You can cancel these alerts via the app Settings page or the phone’s notifications centre.

  1. How can I add more gates?

Additional gates are usually added to the app by invitation from the user managing the gate (invitation is sent via SMS with an authorisation link). If you want to add another gate, where you also have Admin status, simply tap “Add new gate” and follow the instructions in the app

  1. Can automatic open be defined?

Yes, in the application settings. (Not recommended)

  1. Who many users can add to my Omgate?

You get 10 users free which will suite most situations – you can add thousands of users by paying a yearly fee when required. It costs between $1.7 to $0.7 cents per user per year. Cost will depend on how many you required – the more users you buy the cheaper the licence is. On average cost of additional user’s licence per Annum is less than the cost a packet of chewing gum.
