If you learning how to do pull ups or advanced you will be able to perform most chin up exercises. Assisted pull ups using exercise bands is a great way to start. The only exercise which is used in Crossfit and gymnastics would be kipping pull ups that we would not recommend performing.

There is no real comparison this to a door chin up bar as you can do a lot more body weight exercises and this is far more stable without damaging any doors. Hand stand push ups are possible, tipping it over allows you to do raised push ups. Removing the 2 mid-poles allows you to do dips.

Wide grip or narrow grip pull ups or chin ups are possible so that you can target more muscles. Strict muscle ups are also an advanced calisthenic exercise you can do.
