Directions for battery replacement (by an adult): A child should never handle this product unless the battery compartment cover has been properly closed. This product uses three AA batteries (3x1.5V). Batteries should be replaced by adults only. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew the battery compartment cover. Lift it open. Remove the old batteries and discard immediately. Insert new batteries with correct polarity. Close the cover and secure it with the screws.

General safety and care: Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadminum) batteries. Adult supervision is required when charging rechargeable batteries. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited. Exhausted batteries are to be removed from the toy.
