The Campfire Aboriginal design mat in earthy brown, black and white comes from talented Aboriginal artist Angela Marr-Grogans range. The inspiration behind the Campfire design is a gathering of tribes, coming together around a central point to reconnect and share dreaming stories. Using one of our Cultural Recycled Mats is a great way to gather your kindy kids for group time. Marr-Grogans stunning imagery makes this indoor and outdoor mat appealing as a childcare mat or classroom story space thanks to the handy circular design.

Angela has been painting for over 10 years and is a Birpai/Biripi woman, with connections to the Dunghutti and Worimi people on the NSW mid-north coast. This design symbolises the importance of the campfire as a meeting place, as well as a source of warmth and nourishment.

Available in three colour combinations which represent connection to country, Marr-Grogans design reminds us of the joy and mutual understanding to be found in listening to each others stories.

"As an Aboriginal artist, I am inspired and driven by the depth of Aboriginal culture and my place within it, Marr-Grogan has said. With this in mind, Recycled Mats works in consultation with communities to create authentic, ethically produced Indigenous design mats that celebrate cultural diversity.

Caring for your mat is easy too, as these impressive outdoor mats are created from recycled, UV-treated plastics. Spills wipe off with ease, whilst heavier soiling can be hosed off. Roll up your mat for storage or transportation as you move from home to the beach, or from story time to lunchtime.

Choose this sturdy, comfortable mat for anywhere you want your own tribe to come together and connect.
