WARNING: Torsion springs, extension springs, and related door hardware can cause serious injury or death if not handled and installed properly. National Garage highly recommends a garage door professional installs your springs.

If you wish to attempt a DIY installation, we highly recommend that you purchase specially machined torsion bars, designed specifically to wind springs safely.

When changing doors with 2 springs, both springs need to be replaced. Do NOT use an old spring with a new spring.

Extension and torsion springs, along with attached hardware, are under extreme tension at all times. All tension must be released from springs before any work is performed.
