Did you know Silver Needle Tea (also known as White Hair Silver Needle and Bai Hao Yin Zhen ) is only harvestedtwo days of the year and contains only the buds and youngest leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant?

The most expensive and prized of all the white teas, harvesting normally occurs on a sunny morning (so that all morning dew has evaporated) around March to April which is when the buds will flush.

There are two main types of Silver Needle White Tea, which are based on their region of origin - Zhenghe and Fujian, with ours being from the latter, A grade, and known to be lighter with less oxidation.

A sweet and delicate taste that should be brewed correctly - so please view our brewing instructions below!

Brewing

Silver Needle is best steeped for around 5 minutes at 75oC - 80oC.
Not recommended to add anything else to this tea, it's perfect by itself!
