The Bad Chicken is a picture book about a naughty chicken who keeps getting kids into trouble.
This story resonates strongly with young children because it relates to their immediate world. When the grownups do not believe the Bad Chicken exists, the kids feel the injustice of the situation and so set out to catch the cute little rogue, discovering he has many amazing tricks to outwit them.
It's a funny story with Pixar level characters, scenery, and plot twists. Most importantly, this book is designed to be able to be read by five-year-olds. The Bad Chicken makes learning to read a joy for parents and children.
About the Author
Justin Carpenter is a children's author from Perth, Western Australia. He writes stories that resonate deeply with children at the all-important learning to read age. His goal is to help foster the love of reading for the next generation. His other passions include music and the outdoors. Bull Creek, WA.
About the Illustrator
Nnanna Akwu graduated from Abia State University in Nigeria. After winning Best Comic Artist of the Year in 2013, Nanna has gone on to illustrate many children's books.
