This is a genuine issueU.S. Army extreme cold weather mask. These masks were first designed in the 1960's to be used with the M65 cold weather uniform. It was issued to troops in the Arctic, Norway and other frigid wastelands.

The mask has a vinyl exterior for protecting against wind and precipitation. On the interior is a softpolyamide fabric lining for thermal insulation. Snap-domes on the nose and mouth flaps allow them to be folded back or covered up for maximum protection. The adjustable head straps can be un-clipped with snap-domes on one side for quick removal of the mask. If you're not heading to a freezing environment, you may be able to think of alternative uses for this mask.
