Animal trapping tips:
For trapping of animals, wildlife or stray pets you should not only use the correct trap but also bait and place the trap in the appropriate position. Learn the habits of your animal: what foods it eats and the trails it uses to locate its food. Unwanted scents can repel your animal pest from your trap. When baiting, setting or carrying your trap, wear gloves to hide your scent and to protect you from the animal.
When transporting an animal in the trap cover the trap with an old blanket or similar to help settle the animal down. Also place something waterproof under the trap as the animal is likely to go to the toilet.
