Symptoms of worms can include: Excessive bottom cleaning, diarrhoea, scooting, vomiting and pot-belly.
Milbemax is used for the treatment and control of roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms and prevention of heartworm in dogs and puppies over 2 weeks of age.
Milbemax Tablets for Dogs 5 to 50kg:
Dog weight 5 to 25kg - 1 tablet; Dog weight 25 to 50kg - 2 tablets.
Dog weight over 50kg - give a combination of tablets according to dogs weight consistent with minimum recommended dose.
Control of gastrointestinal worms:
Milbemax Tablets for Dogs should only be given to dogs over 5kg. For puppies use Milbemax Tablets for Small Dogs. Treat puppies at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age, then every 3 months. Lactating dogs should be treated at the same time as their puppies. Adult dogs should be treated every 3 months.
Heartworm prevention:
Milbemax Tablets must be administered every month, preferably on the same date each month. If the interval between tablets is longer than a month by less than 7 days , Milbemax Tablets should be administered immediately and the monthly dosing schedule resumed. If the interval between tablets is longer than a month by more than 7 days, a veterinarian should be consulted before recommencing Milbemax Tablets dosing schedule.

Precaution: Before starting Milbemax a veterinarian should confirm that the dog is heartworm free.
