COVID-19 Update

Catch is open for business and we continue to serve our customers.

We know how much our customers depend on us, especially in times like these. As Australians and people all over the world continue to be affected by the COVID19 pandemic, we are focussed on doing everything we can to continue providing you, our customers, what you need in these uncertain and difficult times.


Can I still place and receive orders on Catch.com.au?

Yes. We are still open and operating as normal, there is currently no disruption to our services. We are working around the clock to make sure there is no delay or interruption.


Deliveries in VICTORIA

Our products will remain available to all Victorians online, via home delivery and contactless click and collect in selected Target stores.


Are shipping times delayed?

Our freight partners including Australia Post are still delivering however there are some delivery delays and service impacts due to Coronavirus. With many people moving to online shopping and working from home, we are seeing an increase in orders being placed which is resulting in delays.

Our warehouse and partners are still dispatching within the advertised time frames, though due to delivery delays with carriers, you may experience significantly longer delays in delivery.

Delays will mean:

  • Priority Mail services may be suspended
  • Delivery time for Perth and Brisbane may increase by up to five days
  • Delivery time for North Queensland may increase by up to seven days
  • Delivery times for Tasmania may increase by three days
  • Next Day Express Post Services into regional and rural communities may not be able to be maintained

Is Catch affected by any current shutdowns to businesses?

No. Catch is not subject to a shutdown and continues to operate.


Will Catch be affected by a shutdown?

Right now, Catch is operating, and we believe will continue to operate, providing our customers with the items they need. Many of our staff are now working remotely, and our warehouse operations are adopting dynamic working practices to ensure safety, hygiene and the continued fulfilment of orders. In addition, our Marketplace sellers in Australia and abroad are continuing with their operations.

We do not know what the future holds, but we have every expectation that we will continue to serve our customers throughout this crisis to meet their needs. We will keep everyone updated as the situation unfolds.


Price gouging on Catch.com.au is not acceptable

Catch has always been about giving our customers amazing value and being a destination for the best deals. With the ongoing crisis already making things difficult for our customers, we want to ensure that your experience on Catch remains as enjoyable and consistent as ever.

We have adopted a zero tolerance to ‘price gouging’ behaviour on Catch by our marketplace sellers. For the last several weeks, our Quality Curation team has been busy at work reviewing the thousands of essential marketplace products looking for those that have been marked up to unfair or unreasonable prices.  

We will take action against Sellers that unreasonably or unjustifiably raise their prices on essential goods to take advantage of our customers during this critical period. This includes removing certain items from the platform or suspending Sellers who are repeat offenders.

If you see a product that you suspect is price gouging, you can report it here and our Quality Curation team will assess the product and determine whether it needs to be removed from our site.

Anything we deem to breach our Price Gouging Policy will be removed.
