This German made rod will restore the sharp edge of your stainless steel knives, using the fine diamond grit to create a perfect edge. Honing steels will remove burrs and rough edges, while the diamond steel is an actual sharpener, and should only be used if your knives cannot cut through a single piece of paper. Ensure a 200 angle as you stroke the blade against the rod, and use sparingly to maintain the hardness of the blade.
