10m Manilla Hemp Tug Of War Rope

This Tug of War rope is great fun for the school sport days and is great to develop teamwork and collaboration. It is also a great active game to help engage players in exercise in a fun and interactive way.

You could play with larger teams, smaller teams, uneven numbers, different age groups and even one on one to test their abilities and teach them about cause and effect.

This durable rope is made from hemp and is 10 metres long and 2cm thick. It is strong enough to maintain it’s strength and shape over time allowing multiple groups to play and interact with the rope for years to come.

Rope also includes a middle line with 2x wooden stakes that firmly secure it to the ground ensuring the centre line doesn’t blow away or move in the wind. To win one team needs to pull the other team across the line.

Don’t wrap the rope around the body as this can create burns and injuries. Avoid twisting or solely pulling with the arms as this may also result in strain or injury.

The best technique is to spread the legs and bend at the knees. Face forward and lean back slightly while still maintaining your balance and take the strain of the rope. When the game starts, drive back with your legs and pull with your upper body making sure to active your torso. Maintain your balance and pull together as a team to pull the opposition across the line and to victory.
