Milutin is an astronaut preparing for his biggest mission yet--a journey to Alpha Centauri. But he's surprised to discover he will be joined on his voyage by an android companion. Nimani is a female robot specifically designed for Milutin's needs. Initially resentful of her presence, the antisocial Milutin gradually finds himself drawn to her and the two start an affair. But when Milutin inevitably finds himself falling for a robot, he finds himself willing to do anything--even put himself and their voyage in grave danger--to determine if Nimani can truly love him back.
