Ankle Splint is designed to immobilize, support, and stabilize the ankle joint. The ankle splint is made of two shells supporting the ankle on both sides. It provides freedom in the dorsal and plantar flexion of the foot at the same time It can be used immediately after injuries, as well as during convalescence after surgery. The construction of the splint allows it to be worn with footwear.

The ankle splint can be used as a preventive measure during sports or other activities by people particularly exposed to ankle injuries. These types of stabilizers are most often recommended for sprains and overloads within the ankle, which result in its instability. Protection against uncontrolled rotation or unnatural movement prevents renewal or aggravation of the effects of an injury.

Construction - The body is constructed from a durable, and anatomic polypropylene shell. It is lined on the inside by a viscoelastic gel which flows to take shape of the ankle anatomy.
