ARDBEG TRAIGH BHAN 19 YEAR OLD BATCH #1

Ardbeg Distillery (Scottish Gaelic: Taigh-stail Airde Beaga) is a Scotch whisky distillery in Ardbeg on the south coast of the isle of Islay, Argyll and Bute, Scotland, in the Inner Hebrides group of islands.

The distillery is owned by Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, and produces a heavily peated Islay whisky. The distillery uses malted barley sourced from the maltings in Port Ellen.

The Ardbeg distillery has been producing whisky since 1798 and began commercial production in 1815.

Matured in American oak and ex-oloroso Sherry casks before being bottled at 46.2% abv, Ardbeg Traigh Bhan's 2019 expression is said to have intense and rugged' notes of smoked chilli chocolate and paprika' with waves of toasted oak and roasted tea leaves' on the palate. It comes non chill filtered.

This rare 19 Year Old single malt is inspired by the heavenly vista of Islay's Traigh Bhan known locally as The Singing Sands and will be made available in annual small batches.

This is the first time in 20 years that Ardbeg released an aged whisky that is a permanent expression, produced in a single batch each year.
