Aultmore 25 Year Old Limited Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

Launched in 2014 as part of "The Last Great Malts" collection from Dewar's, it's available in limited quantities at select international markets and through Global Travel Retail.

The Aultmore 25 year old, the oldest expression in the distilleries core range, is the jewel in Aultmore’s crown. It is a rare treat to enjoy a taste of this as it is infrequently bottled, and in ridiculously small quantities!

Locals and fishermen knew to ask for a "nip of the Buckie Road" when referring to a dram of Aultmore whisky. The distillery was built in 1896 close to its water source, the Auchinderran burn, that gets filtered through a nearby area called the "foggie moss."

Tasting Notes:

This dram is a strange but wonderful mix of savoury and sweet. It’s like a rosemary focaccia, with lashing of olive oil over it, but instead of your usual savoury sandwich fillings it has been packed with raspberries, candied orange peel, vanilla cream and spiced apple. Weird tasting notes aside, this is such a complex dram that every time you take a sip you will pick up something different. Single handedly though, the greatest thing about this whisky is that even though it is 25 years old, the distillery character still shines through, and stands up to the long time it has spent in the cask!

"V**ery high quality composition, with a distillate that’s maybe not the most characterful ever. I say greatly done." Serge, Whisky Fun
