The beauty of this smoker temperature unit is that it lets you set a maximum and minimum alarm for the oven probe. This means that you can sit the received in the corner of your room while watching TV and if for some reason the temperature spikes or your fire starts going out, an alarm will sound so you can go and fix the problem. You can also set an alarm on your food probe so you can be notified when you need to wrap your meat or remove it for resting.
