The latest edition of this popular series featuring the Benny Goodman Orchestra which documents the complete series of radio programs broadcast during the latter part of the 1940s. This CD, volume seventeen, includes as guests, Oscar winner Lionel Barrymore who appeared in more films than we can think of, but including It's a Wonderful Life as Mr. Potter, Ley Largo, You can't Take It with You and Captains Courageous. He also played Doctor Gillespie in the Doctor Kildare films. He was also a composer, artist and director. Irving Berlin our second guest was perhaps the most prolific and commercially successful of all the song writers of the twentieth century. The list of his songs is too long to mention here, but there is probably very few people alive today who have not heard at least one of his tunes. As usual the whole package is held together by popular comedian Victor Borge.
