Lovers Transformed 23 Year Old Single Malt from Bowmore is the third release of its acclaimed collaboration with graphist artist and illustrator Frank Quitely.
Lovers Transformed is a duo of Limited Editionds, travel-retail exclusive releases: a 23 Year Old and a 36 Year Old. Like previous releases No Corners to Hide and The Changeling, the Lovers Transformed whiskies are inspired by a myth from the island of Islay, this time the story of the daughter of a Pictish King from the East, who fell in love with a captured Celtic warrior from the West.
The Lovers Transformed Single Malt was finished in refill Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso Sherry-seasoned European Oak casks.
Only 8,000 bottles released.

Nose: Atlantic Sea salt, toffee, tanned leather and stewed apples.

Taste: Golden maple syrup, dark chocolate, liquorice root and tannin oak.

Finish: Earthy rich peat with a long, honeyed sweetness.
