Foot Valves are a type of check valve. They are submerged and fitted at the inlet end of the pump's suction line. Foot valves are an inexpensive and easy way to prime a single centrifugal pump, keeping water in suction lines and therefore avoiding constant re-priming of pumps.

These foot valves have a large strainer as part of their body. This strainer is only suitable for filtering large dibris (like rocks, etc).

Application: suitable for irrigation, prospecting, rural, general and light to medium industrial applications.
