By Wirth wall-mountable hooks are made of oak in a simple Scandinavian design style. The hooks can be used as wall hooks to hang daily essentials like dish towels, bags or jewellery or as knobs or handles on cupboards and doors. The hooks have a deep notch at the back to prevent the towels from sliding off. A set of screws/fittings is included with every hook.

Please note. If hanging wet towels, please make sure to hang the towels around the back edge of the hook, instead of draping the towel over the front of the hook. This will allow more air to flow through and prevent any water damage that might occur.

NOTE: The story of the black oak is quite extraordinary; The raw oak is soaked in a bath of vinegar with a steel sponge and in addition to the acid of the oak, that odd combination triggers a chemical reaction that turns the oak blue (when it is lifted from the bath), then black (when oiled). This process can only be done with Scandinavian oak, and the result is a 100% natural product with elegant, visible growth rings that will age gracefully.
