Caraway - 100-150x Seeds

Caraway is a biennial herb which grows to around 60cm. Each plant has slim green stems and feathery green leaves producing small white flowers which are closely followed by small ribbed fruit, which eventually results in seeds.

Caraway fruit has a sweet anise-like taste and is used to flavour bread, cheese, cakes, curries and casseroles. Caraway roots can be eaten like parsnip. Young leaves can be used in salads, older leaves cooked like spinach. Caraway is often used as a breath freshener.
