Part of the Special Releases from Diageo, this is the 2022 bottling Cardhu 16 Year Old The Hidden Paradise of Black Rock. Legend has it, one day the ancient black rock beneath Cardhu gave an earth-shaking crack and a great warmth rushed forth from within, unleashing a tropical paradise.
This exotic Single Malt finished its maturation in Jamaican pot still rum casks and has been bottled at cask strength.

Nose: Mandarins and lemons, mango, a hint of pineapple, and peaches too. This is followed by honeycomb and vanilla.

Taste: A lovely creamy mouthfeel. Mandarins and mango, a note of caramelised pineapple. Then vanilla and caramel fudge, a note of baked cookies. Green apples in the very back and a hint of powdered sugar.

Finish: Medium long, mandarins, fresh pineapple, green apples, and a hint of spices.
