How To Use:
1. Connect the webcam to your computer. Plug the webcam's USB cable into one of the rectangular USB ports on the side or back of your computer.
The USB plug can only be inserted one way. If the plug does not fit into the port, rotate the plug 180 degrees and try again.
If you are using a Mac, you will most likely need to purchase a USB to USB-C adapter to install a normal webcam.
Make sure the webcam is plugged directly into the computer and not into a USB hub. The USB hub is often not powered enough to operate the webcam.
2. Plug and play, no CD included. Plugging your webcam into your computer will begin the setup process. The setup process will involve clicking through a series of preference windows before clicking the install button.
3. Follow any on-screen instructions. Note the windows information here. You will most likely need to select some preferences that will help the webcam work in the future.
4. Adjust the webcam as desired.
5. Start a video call using your Skype or other means. Test the sound of the webcam. When speaking into the webcam, look for a spike in activity next to the "Audio" (or similar title) section in the webcam window. If you don't see any activity here, your webcam's microphone isn't working and may need to be enabled from your webcam's or computer's settings.
6. If necessary, change the settings of the webcam as desired.
