Daftmill 2008 Winter Batch Release 2020 Single Malt Whisky

This is the Limited Edition Winter 2020 release from Daftmill. Distilled in 2008 using Optic barley harvested from the farm's South fields in August 2006, then stored on the farm to be malted in Alloa in 2007. Twenty-three first fill ex bourbon barrels were used to make up this batch. They were filled between the 14th of Feb 2008 and the 28th of April 2008 before being left to mature.
Only 6,000 bottles released.

Nose: Fruity and grassy. Honey, pineapple, peach, lemon, anise, vanilla, paste, tangerine peel, menthol.

Taste: Melon, citrus, nectarine, vanilla. Furthermore, oak, herbs and a light bitterness.

Finish: Long spicy finish, coconut, oak and vanilla. Menthol and ginger.
