10-YEAR WARRANTY / OUR TESTSQuechua's research and approval partner for its components and assembly has carried out tests reproducing the ageing effect of hiking backpacks. These tests were conducted on the components, seams and finished product. For example, our hiking bag design guarantees 20,000 zip openings/closings, 10,000 drops etc., equal to 10 years from the date shown on the sales receipt.

10-YEAR WARRANTY / CONDITIONSThe warranty covers the defects of the backpack, excluding those resulting from normal wear and improper use. This special 10-year warranty is only valid on presentation of the product and receipt. If the product is covered by warranty, it will be repaired or exchanged free of charge. This sales warranty does not affect the statutory rights applicable in your country and/or state.

HOW TO PACK MY BACKPACK?AT THE BOTTOM of the bag, pack your sleeping material, and heavy material nearer the back. Slide your water pocket into the compartment.AT THE TOP of the bag, store your waterproof jacket and fleece within arm's reach. In the pockets, you can put your sun cream, maps, cap and sunglasses. Cereal bars or your mobile phone can be stored in the belt pockets for quick access. The straps under the bag can also be used to attach a compact tent.

HOW MUCH WEIGHT CAN I CARRY?We recommend that you never carry more than 25% of your body weight as you risk hurting your back!Even the best bags with perfect adjustments could injure you if too heavy.

HOW TO ADJUST YOUR BACKPACK?1 - Loosen all the straps: shoulder straps, belt, load-return straps (these are the small straps above the shoulder straps)2 - Put on the bag.3 - Close the bag's belt, positioning it at the hips then tighten it until it feels firmly in place4 - Tighten the bag's shoulder straps5 - Tighten the chest strap (not too tight to affect breathing)6 - Adjust the load-return straps (the bag will cling closely to the shoulders)

HOW IS THE VOLUME MEASURED?The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardised method: we fill the main compartment as well as each pocket with little balls. Then we empty these balls into a graduated container, which gives the equivalent volume in litres.

HOW TO CARE FOR AND WASH A BACKPACK?We recommend hand-washing your backpack. Use soapy, lukewarm water, possibly with a brush, focussing on the areas in contact with the body (shoulder straps, back, ventral belt), where you have perspired. This is the best way for the fabric properties to be maintained, in particular the waterproofness. Then rinse well with lukewarm water, leave to dry in a dry place away from direct sunlight (no radiator). Store in a dry place.
