DIVE Housing for the GoPro HERO4 Session and GoPro HERO5 Session cameras - Waterproof to 45 Metres

The GoPro HERO4 Session and GoPro HERO5 Session cameras do not need a separate housing to make them waterproof. This is awesome for so many water-based activities. It also means that the microphone delivers crystal clear sound, as it is not muffled by being inside a sealed waterproof housing. You can also use the HERO4 Session/HERO5 Session for snorkelling and scuba diving. However, the housings are only rated down to 10 Metres below the surface.

If you want to dive deeper using these cameras then this new generic After-Market housing will allow you to dive down to a maximum of 45 Metres.

The housing may also give you more peace of mind for shallow water based activities, in case of an impact.

IMPORTANT: It should be noted that currently there are NO Dive filters (RED, Magenta or snorkel) to fit these particular housings. It is also likely that there never will be. You can buy them as a kit (different Brand) but they are more expensive. However, opinion is divided on whether filters are required to achieve the best underwater footage. Possibly the most effective method is to use dive lights and/or colour correction in an editing program.

IMPORTANT: The HERO4 Session and HERO5 Session cameras have a factory sealed lens cover. The lens, being sealed in a ZERO humidity environment, means that fogging should not occur when used normally (above OR below water). However, once you place the camera into a housing you may experience "Fogging" in the lens area due to Humid air trapped INSIDE the housing condensing when the housing is cooled from the outside (for example when snorkelling or Scuba Diving). This is a well-known problem that often occurs in Humid and tropical environments. You can Google ways to deal with this issue to avoid spoiling your footage. One solution is to use Anti-Fog inserts inside the housing.

We also sell Anti-Fog inserts in our store. Note: It is important to make sure they don't interfere with the back door seal closing to ensure the housing is waterproof.
