Tasting Notes
Vibrant crimson coloured wine with deep cherry red hues. The scintillating bouquet of this aromatic wine exudes fragrances of mulberry and dark chocolate, with savoury leafiness. The medium-bodied palate shows flavours of ripe blackberry, blackcurrant and mulberry, along with minerality and fresh acidity. Enhanced by fine and silky tannins, the wine finishes dry, long and fleshy.
Technical Notes
The style of wine they are making at Fraser Gallop Estate is a wine that has greater freshness with good concentration of flavour. Blending these varieties works so well because the structural tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon are tamed by the mid-palate richness and softness of the Merlot. A blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, 2% Malbec.
