At Glann ar Mor, instead of the traditional Ex Bourbon cask. use of Oloroso Sherry cask is a unique feature. The peat has a mezcal-like edge, for this situation there's opening recommendations of vinyl and varnish, blending with enigmatically green notes (white pepper, dried grass). Air circulation complements the sweet grain as nectar, bubbled confectionary, marzipan? The peat is increasingly authoritative in the mouth, implanting kinds of toasted nutty surprise. Green-wood smoke and a somewhat verdant severe sweetness trail off in the completion. Continually captivating, this refinery has built up an unmistakable style from the get-go.
