GlenAllachie 4 Year Old Billy Walker 50th Anniversary Future Edition

GlenAllachie launched in 2022 a trilogy Limited Edition Series of Single Malts to celebrate a remarkable 50 year spell in the Scotch Whisky industry of the world-leading whisky maker Billy Walker. Renowned for his role as Master Distiller at The GlenAllachie Distillers Company, Walker has spent the past five decades creating some of the worlds most coveted whiskies. The GlenAllachie trilogy includes: Past Edition, Present Edition and Future Edition.
The third and last release of the series, The GlenAllachie Present Edition 4 Year Old Peated Single Malt was launched in October 2022. The Future Edition is the first distillate that Billy has overseen from start to finish, and also the first release to have been impacted by the changes in production implemented by Billy Walker when he joined The GlenAllachie Distillery in 2017. The whisky was matured in former rye and bourbon barrels, as well as virgin oak casks and bottled in August 2022 at cask strength.
Only 10,000 bottles released.

Nose: Bursting with honeycomb, dried fruits and hazelnut, with hints of smouldering oak, dark chocolate and warm cinnamon apples.

Taste: Lashings of cinnamon stewed pears, toasted almonds, heather honey and pipe tobacco, followed by smoked barley, vanilla toffee and orchard fruits.

Finish: Medium long, with notes of smoky wood and seaweed.
