Glenfiddich 23 Year Old Grand Cru Single Malt whisky

In the summer of 1886, with his seven sons and two daughters by his side, William Grant set out to fulfil a lifelong ambition. Together they began building his Distillery by hand, stone by stone. After a single year of work, it was ready and William named it Glenfiddich, Gaelic for Valley of the Deer.

Williams passion, determination and pioneering spirit continues to guide us today. Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family owned and is now the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a true reflection of our founders innovative nature, passed down through the generations.

The Grand Cru was first unveiled in 2019 with William Grant & Sons describing it as being "the ultimate spirit of celebration."

The whisky itself is matured for 23 years in hand-selected American and European oak casks, before being finished in French cuvee oak casks. The influence these casks has had on the whisky is fantastic, lifting the palate with notes of baked goods and fresh fruit.

Nose: Brioche, banana, vanilla blossom, sugared almonds, a hint of cider, lemon peel.

Taste: Melted butter on rye toast, sandalwood, peach, soft peppery hints drift in later on, with just a pinch of mint.

Finish: Long, flaky pastry, dry malt, pear sweetness.
