GRIP-TEC GT114 is universal flooring adhesive for bonding: PVC, VINYL, EVA, RUBBER, VCT Sheets, Planks, Tiles, Linoleum and Textile Backing Flooring.

SUITABLE SURFACE

Hardboard, concrete, timber and existing vinyl flooring.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Surface must be dry, smooth, clean and free of any contaminants that may limit adhesion to the subfloor. Highly porous concrete or timber subfloor should be primed before applying adhesive. The surface must be protected from moisture. If the surface is subject to rising damp or when applying over green concrete, apply a moisture barrier prior to application and allow to dry.

APPLICATION

1.Spread adhesive evenly over prepared surface using a shallow (1.6mm “v” )notch trowel, a short nap roller or a wide brush.

2.Allow the adhesive to set open until dry to touch, which is when the adhesive becomes transparent with no transfer to fingertips when touched. Lay the flooring, cut, fit and re- position as required.

3.Roll installed flooring over with suitable roller or press evenly to ensure there is good contact between the adhesive and flooring material.

4.Do not allow traffic for 24 hours and heavy traffic for 48 hours. Do not expose to water for 48 hours. Drying times will be slower when temperature is below 10C and faster if above 30C.

COVERAGE

1 litre of GRIP-TEC GT114 adhesive will cover approximately up to 8m2 with a 1.6mm “V” notch trowel and approximately up to 10m2 with a short nap roller or a brush. Coverage will vary depending on the condition of the subfloor and application technique.

CLEAN UP

Clean tools and equipment immediately after use, with soapy water. ;Dried adhesive can be removed with mineral turps.
