Hydraulic Lime Mortar for Stone, Brick and Block Masonry

This guide has been produced as a result of research carried out as part of the EPSRC/Department of Trade and Industry Foresight research project on the "Performance, application and classification of hydraulic limes and pozzolans for the UK construction industry". They deal with constituent materials, mix design, mortar properties, workmanship, appearance, strength requirements and design for durability of the construction relating to hydraulic lime mortar. It is intended that the guide should be used in conjunction with other National and International Standards and Codes of Practice relating to the overall construction, function and appearance of the building.
